Size: 16.5mm W x 11.0mm H Comment: This hechsher formed part of an advertisement for M. Bloom (Kosher) and Son Ltd., Whitechapel, London E1, U.K., better known as Bloom's. It was famous for its salt beef meals and its persuasive waiters; ".. some more chicken soup, some more latkes?" Bloom's ceased trading early in 1996 after nearly 45 years in business. Only a short distance from its former site is the Whitechapel Bell Foundry where America's Liberty Bell was first cast. Bloom's sister restaurant continues to trade under the same name at 130 Golders Green Road, London NW11. Text details:
