Kedassia hechshers all follow the same basic design features but with small variations which may be significant as year and/or application markers. Some designs are augmented with the details of wholesalers or retailers.

Variations include

  1. The number of dots or stars at the left and right, [2, 4 or 5]
  2. כשר or כשר על פסח in the upper semi-circle,
  3. the number of text lines in the lower semi-circle [4, 5 or 6],
  4. the Hebrew font.
  5. the Latin font
